Why did you choose this SC2 race?
3 reasons: Siege Tanks, Siege Tanks, and Siege Tanks.
What do you do for a living?
I'm a Software Engineer.
What do you love about your job?
I enjoy problem solving, and my job gives me ample opportunities to do so.
What other hobbies do you have?
I enjoy playing other Computer Games as well such as Angband, Portal, Diablo 2, Alpha Centauri, and Master of Orion 1. I also enjoy reading science fiction and fantasy novels.
Why do you play StarCraft?
I enjoy all aspects of StarCraft --- the campaigns, the lore, and the thrill of head to head competition. It is always exciting to face new strategies and builds.
How long have you been playing?
I began playing StarCraft 1 in Autumn 1998. My first game was a "Team Melee" game, where I shared control with a more experienced player. I got to control the overlord and shortly thereafter 6 zerglings. Those 6 zerglings were all we needed to secure a victory versus our unprepared Terran foes. I continued playing Broodwar off and on through the years in both LAN and Battle.net play. I began playing StarCraft 2 during the beta, and have been playing it ever since.
What have you done to prepare for the momentous challenge that is the AHGL?
I've done of a combination of 1v1 Ladder, practice games, and head to head competition with other members of the IBM StarCraft 2 Team. I also watch some high level replays to improve my skills.
Who is the best player on your team? Why?
ATrain. He has solid micro that enables him to keep the pressure up, and has the macro skills to match. He uses every unit that Protoss offers and can tech switch with an ease that still catches me off guard. He can establish and maintain map control, giving him an edge in scouting, positioning, and resource gathering. He's rarely caught off-guard by nydus worms or drops. Trying to stop his pushes is like to trying to stop a train.
