Why did you choose this SC2 race?
Back in Brood War I played mostly Terran, and even participated in a nationwide tournament one summer while I was attending the "Ace Computer Camp." I made it to regionals, where I took second. The person who beat me just knocked my lights out with mass hydra, and I fell in love with Zerg macro ever since.
What do you do for a living?
I help educate customers on the possibilities capable on today's newest technology available to the public, and how they can use it to enhance their lives.
What do you love about your job?
It is so satisfying to see someone who saw computers/technology as these mystical confusion boxes turn around and say "Oh, I understand now" in the course of a ten minute conversation.
What other hobbies do you have?
Playing many other video games, board and card games, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, really anything that really fits into the stereotypical "nerd" cutout.
Why do you play StarCraft?
?: I have always loved strategy games since the first Red Alert (Yes, I started here and moved backwards to C&C) and Warcraft games. Through the years, I always dabble in any new RTS that comes out and tries something new, and StarCraft 2 definitely has the most active balancing and online community. Whether I win or lose, I always appreciate a good game of "online chess" that is rewarding on both the mental level, and the childish(?) part of me that really enjoys video games.
How long have you been playing?
I've been playing SC2 since release day, though did miss most of season 2
What have you done to prepare for the momentous challenge that is the AHGL?
I've been skimming through my replays a lot more to tweak my builds for specific match-ups a lot more than usual. I've always been working on diversifying my builds based on both the map, and what I see when I scout my opponent. Some of the best practice I get comes from contacting my enemy after a particularly close match and seeing if they're interested in becoming sparring partners. The biggest help has to come from my team of fellow Best Buy Starcraft players during our Sunday night Geek Squad Star League games (Streaming live Sundays @ 11 EST http://www.gsstarleague.com ) of the game discussion that comes from it.
Who is the best player on your team? Why?
I would have to say Callmebonjwa. He has a different style from all the other Protoss players in the league, and I can never really guess what he's about to do next. His game sense seems to always be spot on, and his ability to play greedy in the early game makes me jealous as a Zerg player. His micro is great, his builds seem very well thought out, and it all looks to happen so effortlessly.
