Why did you choose this SC2 race?
After getting decent with protoss I felt like learning zerg, which took several months to get to the same level. The two weeks of work to get my terran up to the same level seemed worthwhile so I could random it up.
What do you do for a living?
I'm a software engineer.
What do you love about your job?
There's a lot of potential for a clever hack to have a lot of impact at Facebook.
What other hobbies do you have?
I don't really have hobbies or t-shirts that are not related to StarCraft.
Why do you play StarCraft?
I started playing Brood War during the SC2 beta on a whim and got pretty hooked.
How long have you been playing?
I played the original game when it came out and Brood War when that came out, but I wasn’t very serious about either and there were several years where I didn’t play at all. I’ve been playing somewhat seriously since early 2010 and moved to SC2 once pre-ordering the game scored you a beta key.
What have you done to prepare for the momentous challenge that is the AHGL?
Most of my preparation has just been 1v1 laddering (including watching every replay 3 or 4 times), but I’ve also done a bunch of practice matches with teammates and watched a ton of Day[9].
